transparency

Noun. 1) A metric or measure of a range of search listings (q.v.) for a query which are obviously optimized to be included in the search results. A perfectly transparent search result (q.v.) has a Transparency value of 1.0, reflecting the fact that all of its listings are obviously optimized for inclusion in the search result. 2) The characteristic of being transparent in the sense of appearing to be clearly optimized to a casual, uninformed observer of a group or collection of natural, transparent, or opaque objects.
