opacity

Noun. 1) A metric or measure of a range of search listings (q.v.) for a query which are not obviously optimized to be included in the search results. A perfectly opaque search result (q.v.) has an Opacity value of 1.0, reflecting the fact that none of the search listings (q.v.) are obviously optimized for placement in the result. 2) The characteristic of being opaque in the sense of appearing to be natural to a casual, uninformed observer of a group or collection of natural, transparent, or opaque objects.
